 We recently held our annual event with Marvin Ridge High School's HOSA Chapter! Members of the chapter gathered to donate first aid materials and assemble kits which will later be donated to a local shelter. Over 2000 items were collected!

 The NC School of Science and Math has added Aid First to their database of volunteer opportunities. Volunteers will now be able to register for Aid First events and log volunteer hours that will contribute towards school requirements. We look forward to working with NCSSM and will update the website with all the work students have accomplished in May!
Aid First donated more than 1580 items in total to Time Out Youth today! Items donated included disinfectant wipes, toothpaste, deodorant, Black hair care products, and more.
Aid First donated more than 770 units of hygiene and first aid materials to Gracious Hands Transitional Housing! Items included body wash, body lotion, hand sanitizer, toothpaste, toothbrushes, mouthwash, hand sanitizer, and disinfectant spray and wipes, and they will be used across two housing locations to help tens of women and children.
Today, Aid First donated more than 2,000 units of women hygiene and first aid materials to the YWCA Central Carolinas Women in Transition program and to Charlotte Rescue Mission Dove's Nest! Items included pads, tampons, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, disinfectant wipes, lip balm, hand sanitizer, and more.
 We donated $300 and $200 worth of items to Samaritan House today! The $200 worth of items will be used to help out tens of people temporarily living at the Charlotte location, and the $300 will be used by Samaritan House to buy other items specifically fitted for their needs.
As a part of our Project COVID Response, we launched our Mask Ambassador program to get our community involved in the effort to defeat COVID. Mask Ambassadors make new masks to send to Aid First for dispersal and help our community stop the spread of COVID.

Aid First donated 472 reusable masks to Covid-GCA who will redistribute them to local businesses! In order to reopen as safely as possible, lots of local businesses have reached out to Charlotte’s reopening committee in desperate need of masks. Aid First is so happy that we were able to make this contribution and continue to help those in our community!
Members from the Aid First Board, COVID-GCA, Charlottle City Council, and ReadyCLT met today to discuss the efforts being put forth to help local small businesses! On December 29, Aid First made its first donation to The Relatives, a center that helps children and youth find shelter. We donated 23 Band-Aid packs, 33 cold packs, 48 deodorants, 150 yards of adhesive tape, 40 lip balms, 4 packs of disinfectant wipes, hand sanitizers, and creams, and 4 packs of cookies to The Relatives. This is the first of many projects we will complete in the future!
